Introduction
COLOMBO BeverageCHASE® Systems are designed and engineered to simplify the process of installing Beverage Distribution Systems for the foodservice and beverage industries. They have been designed to meet the needs of this industry. Specifying and enforcing the installation of COLOMBO BeverageCHASE® System products will assure proper chase-ways for the client.
The unique design of our COLOMBO Leak-Proof / StructuralJOINtm provides
not only a bonded "Leak-Proof" join, it also provides a StructuralJOIN
that enhances the overall strength and structural integrity of the total system
by creating a "Virtual Single Tube CHASE®" through which beverage lines may be
pulled.
COLOMBO has collaborated with 3M Corporation in the development of this new JOIN
process.
3M Corporation Laboratories have also tested the StructuralJOIN to a 200-lb
pull test with no physical damage to the join or the tube. After the 200-lb pull
test, the joins were re-tested for water leakage and pressure tested to 40psi.
Further testing was subsequently conducted by 3M to "break load" conditions. The
JOIN withstood an average 574.7lb pull before separation. (i.e. "started
to separate". Note: The JOIN remained intact.) Testing
process and details are included.
The COLOMBO STOUTi.e. Underground CHASE is another remarkable product because it eliminates the possibility of groundwater or seepage to sour and spoil beverage lines. The industry has until now used PVC product which is intended for sewers and drains and works well in that application.
COLOMBO BeverageCHASE® Systems are available in Aluminum for Aboveground
applications and STOUTi.e.® for Underground applications. These
products are available in a variety of sizes to meet the needs of most installations.
Straight tube and bends in various radii and degree of bend including custom bend
radii are available.
COLOMBO has also designed and engineered an Installation Tool Set to simplify
and speed up the installation of BeverageCHASE® Systems.
