COLOMBO Engineering, a leader in underground specimen transfer systems for hospitals, recognized that beverage dispensing system trunk lines—used widely in restaurants, hotels and other public establishments -- fail frequently because they are typically routed underground using PVC. Failure of the PVC, due to cracking or breaking under stress from ground shift or building shift, allows ground water and/or other liquids from the facility into the conduit, thereby spoiling the beverage lines and contents. Estimates are that the problem represents millions annually in lost beverage sales alone.

COLOMBO announced today, a simple and easy to install BeverageCHASE System to accommodate distributed and remote beverage systems. The COLOMBO Leak-Proof / StructuralJOIN (Patent Pending) adds another dimension of structural integrity to the systems to create a "Virtual Single Tube CHASE" TM.
COLOMBO ingenuity in collaboration with 3M Corporation is applying 3M’s Double Coated Acrylic Foam Tape Products to create a tube join that not only makes the joins leak proof, but adds significant structural integrity to the total system. The joins have undergone rigorous testing, have proven to be exceptionally strong and remain leak-proof even after stress testing.

BeverageCHASE Systems are being installed in bars, restaurants, casinos, stadiums and other food service installations. The systems are very helpful in the distribution of Soda, Liquor and Beer from remote locations.
