Aboveground CHASE® Overview & Features

Colombo Beverage Chase Systems offers three standard-sized aboveground systems for overhead use. 4”, 6” and 8” CHASE are stock items. The patented leak-proof structural join was designed “in house,” making Columbo’s CHASE conduit system the only leak-proof and structurally solid system available. Colombo’s CHASE creates a smooth, continuous interior coupled with long sweeping bends, ensuring easy beverage line bundle installation and replacement in the future. In addition, all support components are powder coated or galvanized to eliminate corrosion, and designed for easy service access.

Most fire and health codes require beverage dispensing lines be installed in a conduit system. Local codes may require the use of steel rather than aluminum. Colombo carries a complete line of aluminum and steel CHASE products. Many designers, architects and building contractors are not familiar with these codes; however, it is critical they are specified correctly to avoid costly repairs and fines down the road.

The aboveground CHASE product line consists of everything you will need to create any configuration of chase in 4”, 6” and 8” diameter options, including:

  • Straight sections in 10’ and 20’ lengths
  • Large, sweeping radius 90-degree bends
  • Large, sweeping radius partial bends in 22.5, 30 and 45 degrees
  • Large, sweeping custom bends from 5 – 85 degrees
  • Splice/pull boxes
  • Pull sleeves provide an opening for a pull location
  • Junction boxes used as a pullbox and junction point where multiple CHASE and beverage lines meet
  • Shallow-ceiling 90-degree pull box
  • Nipple used for creating field-built junction/pull boxes using standard-size field build boxes
  • Termination boxes providing a finished in-wall termination
  • Leak-proof structural join used to connect or join all components of a beverage CHASE system
  • Flared CHASE used at the end of a finished CHASE, allowing smooth installation of beverage lines
  • Hangers used to secure chase into position
  • Expansion joint allowing for movement between two structures where expansion joints/fittings are required
  • End cap used to close off the end of an aboveground CHASE system
  • Transition coupling used to transition from underground direct burial to aboveground CHASE
